Join us in
Tuscany
for a creative retreat designed for fine-tuning your
creative juices and taking time to revel in the beauty of
Italian life.
Seven days in a timeless city on
the peak of one of the most unspoiled landscapes in
Tuscany.
Imaginative people know that revitalizing one’s spirit is
essential for true expression. This trip to magnificent
Volterra guarantees both beginners and advanced participants
will rejuvenate their senses through drawings, paintings,
photos, writing or just relaxing and taking in the glorious
landscapes and architecture.
Volterra is one of
the oldest hill towns in Italy
boasting stratifications and structures from Pre-History to
the present. Home to the Etruscan culture and still the
center of the world’s most important alabaster deposits, the
city’s historic time line invites us to experience
everything from Ancient tombs to modern life.
Volterra offers museums, an age
old history of alabaster crafts, simple and genuine cuisine
prepared from locally produced seasonal ingredients and a
wealth of music and theatrical events.
Use this inspirational adventure
to draw, paint or dream poised on the top of the Tuscan
hills nourished by natural beauty, inspired art, great foods
and wines.
Carol Bishop, Ph. D., artist and historian provides daily
visual lessons in drawing, painting, photography as well as
art history tours at the local museums. Activities to
realize your inner ideas and tricks to capture media skills
will transfer into artworks, travel books, pictures or
poems.
Pamela Abraham is our navigator, gourmet food specialist and
authority on regional wines. She’ll head up walking tours of
the countryside and share her knowledge of the best foods
and drinks the area offers through private tastings and
demonstrations.
